Riverwalk Upgrades
September 2026
The "Mindful Pause" Yoga & Meditation Garden opened along the Riverwalk in September of 2026.
Located beside the Middle Fork of the Feather River, the site consists of a half-circle stamped concrete pad ringed by locally sourced Sierra Nevada granite boulders and landscaping features. The surface is ADA accessible.
The garden is free to use and open daily from sunrise to sunset. No reservation or permit is required for personal use.
The garden was funded through Proposition 68, the state parks bond approved by California voters in 2018. The program operates on a reimbursement basis with the State reimbursing the City for eligible project costs. The City's allocation first paid for two vault toilets along the Riverwalk.

March 2026
Three new water fountains were installed at various locations along the Riverwalk. These units have bottle fillers, fountains at various heights, and even one for our furry friends.
This project was made possible utilizing funding from the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA).

June 2025
Two new vault restrooms were installed along the Riverwalk. The project is fully funded by a grant from the State of California- Department of Parks and Recreation. This means that all project expenses to the City will be reimbursed by the State of California. The new facilities were designed to complement the area’s natural beauty and are now open for use by the public!
